Generally speaking, it is desirable for the pump of a multiple orifice spray liquid dispensing package to be designed so that, when the position of the spray nozzle is changed from one orifice to another, the maximum available pump stroke is automatically adjusted to deliver the optimum amount of liquid product discharge for whichever orifice is selected by the user. This eliminates the overwetting/underwetting problems that typically arise when a user, for example, selects an orifice which produces a broad spray pattern for overall treatment of their hair and then changes that same orifice to produce a very narrow spray pattern for styling highlights in their hair.
Combines the advantages of a manually actuated pump with a means for automatically changing the maximum available pump stroke so as to optimize the amount of liquid product which can be delivered on each complete pump stroke for whichever orifice is selected by a user.
